How quotes are calculated

What moves the price

  • White-label link building

    • Number of placements and how they are spread across target pages.
    • Niche difficulty. Some topics have fewer relevant publishers or stricter editorial standards.
    • Market and language.
    • Whether content approval rounds are included.
    • Publisher fees, where a publisher charges for sponsored or contributed content.
  • Local SEO fulfillment

    • Number of locations.
    • Directory list size and the market each location is in.
    • Clean-up effort, which depends on how many inconsistent or duplicate listings exist.
    • Whether profile tasks and on-site work are included.
  • White-label SEO audits

    • Site size and the crawl limit needed.
    • Number of distinct page templates to review.
    • Platform complexity, such as JavaScript rendering, faceted navigation or international versions.
    • Whether Search Console data is available.

What every quote states

  • Deliverables in units, with what is excluded
  • Inputs and access needed, and who provides them
  • Approval steps and turnaround basis
  • Price, currency, payment schedule and any third-party costs
  • Revision, cancellation and replacement terms

What we won't price in

  • Ranking, traffic or revenue guarantees
  • "Unlimited" work with no defined units
  • Discounts measured against an invented list price

Your resale price

Set your price from your own costs

What you charge your client is your decision. Before you set it, add your own account management, QA and payment costs to the fulfillment cost. The calculator works out contribution, margin and markup, and the price needed for a target margin. Nothing you enter leaves your browser.

margin = (price − total cost) ÷ price
markup = (price − total cost) ÷ total cost

A 50% markup is a 33.3% margin. Mixing them up is the most common pricing mistake.

Pricing questions

Plans, packages and cost

Why don't you list a "from" price?
A low headline price usually describes a scope nobody actually orders. We'd rather quote your real brief once and have the number hold.
What's the difference between a plan and a package?
Here they're the same thing: a defined service, unit and billing model. You can order a one-off project or, where the service supports it, an agreed monthly quantity.
Can I start small?
Say so in your brief. A small first order is a sensible way to check report quality and communication before committing to a larger or recurring scope, and we'll tell you if a scope is too small to deliver properly.
How do I know what to charge my client?
That depends on your own costs and positioning. Use the margin calculator with your real numbers. We don't promise any particular markup.
